In Jersey City, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New Jersey on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Jersey City is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Jersey City peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Razza absolutely lives up to its reputation. When I first moved to Jersey City, this was one of the places everyone talked about, and the hype is well deserved. The food is excellent, and it feels like a place that puts real care into every ingredient. We started with the bread and butter sampler, which was delicious. The butters were fresh and interesting, and I liked learning about the sourcing and background behind them. For pizza, we had the pepperoni and cheese pies. Both were fantastic, with an excellent super-thin crust and high-quality toppings. The price is definitely on the higher side for a personal pizza, but the quality makes it worthwhile. The pizzas are thin enough that each person will probably want their own. One of the best pizza experiences in Jersey City.

Outstanding service! The staff is wonderful, which is especially impressive given how popular the restaurant is right now. While the pizzas didn't completely blow my mind, the crust is great, the toppings are fresh, and I'd happily return for them. The real star, though, is the meatball dishβabsolutely extraordinary. Don't skip them; Iβd come back just for those alone! The bread and salumeria were also very nice, and while the wine list is small, it has some great pairings for the pizza. Iβd be thrilled to have this as my local neighborhood spot. Seating was surprisingly easy to come by since Razza spans two whole buildings on the block. Go here. Forget the accolades this restaurants has receive. Just enjoy what will be a fantastic experience in a lovely part of New Jersey.

SO disappointed. Tiny pizza (see my photos). $120 for 1 small appetizer, two micropizzas with burnt crust, and 1 glass of wine. I ate 4 out of 6 slices and was hungry two hours later. Add in $10 to park 4 blocks away and wear a sweater in July because the they want us to βchillβ, I believe. Donβt get me started about the slim pickinβs bar. So hereβs my challenge: go to Amanoβs in Matawan. Half the cost, twice the food, and far more satisfying an experience.

We galavanted over to Jersey City to try Razza after hearing it was one of the best pizza spots around. As someone from Chicago who usually prefers a different style of pizza (and isnβt typically a wood-fired pizza fan), I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed every bite. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with warm wood accents and exposed painted brick that create a cozy atmosphere. One quick tip: we accidentally entered through the wrong door, so look for the entrance with the awning. We ordered the Caesar salad, zucchini pizza, arugula pizza, and meatballs, which was the perfect amount for our group of three. Everything was delicious, but the zucchini pizza was the standout. The staff suggested squeezing fresh lemon over the top, and it completely elevated the pizza. Iβd never had zucchini on a pizza before, and now Iβm wondering why! The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and I also loved that you can order pizza to enjoy in their outdoor beer garden. Definitely worth the trip.

Very traditional Neapolitan style pizza - tastes exactly how a VPN should taste - clean, airy, high quality ingredients. Dinged one star for no buffalo mozz which is required when needing a real DOP fix, and also a minor burn ring on the undercarriage near the cornicione. Overall, very good pie. I was expecting something different given all the accolades, but itβs simply very well executed VPN pizza.
